Apprentice Factory Engineer

Full Time, Permanent
£7.50 per hour

Prism Power Group’s 2021 intake for its engineering apprenticeship programme is now open for applications. The Prism Power Group of Companies provides a complete package of power system technologies to a principally blue-chip client base from its extensive technical portfolio of products and services. The new roles will focus on the mechanical and electrical manufacturing of our Low Voltage Switchgear from our factory in Watford and will include college day release from September 2021 (initially two days per week.) Dependent on experience and qualifications you will be enrolled on either a Level 2 or 3 qualification with a local college and your apprenticeship will last up to 4 years. Overall, we encourage a ‘can-do’ attitude and will expect a willingness to learn and develop new skills whilst contributing to the ongoing success of the business. Whilst the role is primarily factory based, where sufficient aptitude is shown experience of working on site and across other disciplines within the business will also be provided. Production Manager

Full Time, Permanent
£40K to £50K, Dependent on Experience

We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as Production Manager. As production manager you will be responsible for the day to day management of activity within the factory, including all co-ordination, planning, team management and improvement activities. The role will also form part of the senior management team of the business, with the expectation that you will input in to developing and delivering strategic change across the business aimed at supporting efficient, lean manufacturing as well as growth in capacity to suit the development of the business. ‘Bespoke’ manufacturing is a large part of what we do as a business and whilst there is a large degree of standardisation, at our core we design solutions to meet customer requirements thus requiring an adaptable and flexible approach to our operations. Supported by a skilled and adaptable team, the production manager will be responsible for ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of all projects.
