Electrical Estimator
Building on our recent success and owing to business growth we have an exciting opportunity for a new Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. The Prism Power Group of Companies provides a complete package of power system technologies to a principally blue chip client base from its extensive technical portfolio of products and services. The new role will be focussed on providing a timely service to our sales team and clients in delivering tender returns for our LV switchgear and Critical Power businesses. Based at our offices in Watford, you will be expected to record and process incoming tender requests, completing them ready for issue on time to clients and the sales team. You may also, where required, be expected to attend site to carry out surveys for later tendering. Product knowledge and an understanding of our design philosophy, for which training will be provided, will be important to enable the development of high quality tender returns. In addition, liaison with clients will often be required to ensure correct interpretation of specifications and to allow for changes as a project develops. Overall we encourage a ‘can-do’ attitude and will expect a willingness to exceed client expectations at all stages of a project.

Electrical Design Engineer

The new role will be focussed on the electrical engineering requirements for existing and speculative projects within our Power Systems and growing Renewables division. We are looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to undertake detailed design on a variety of Power systems projects. Project requirements vary and will span LV & MV Switchgear, Busbar, UPS (Rotary and Static), Generation, SCADA as well as other technologies across an array of end use requirements such as critical environments and utility scale solar.

Factory / Site Engineer
Building on recent success we have several opportunities to join our growing production team. The Prism Power Group of Companies provides a complete package of power system technologies to a principally blue-chip client base from its extensive technical portfolio of products and services. The new roles will focus on the mechanical and electrical manufacturing of our Low Voltage Switchgear. The roles will be based at our factory in Watford and dependent on experience will cover mechanical fitting and/or electrical manufacture of our Low Voltage Switchgear. Prior experience working with Switchgear is desirable but not essential. We are looking for varied experience levels across several vacancies and will be providing ongoing training to support further development. Overall we encourage a ‘can-do’ attitude and will expect a willingness to exceed client expectations at all stages of a project. Whilst the role is primarily factory based, some team members will from time to time be expected to assist with site installation at customer sites both around the UK and overseas. We are keen to hear from dynamic individuals that feel they can contribute to the onward growth of the business.

Apprentice Factory Engineers
Prism Power Group’s 2023 intake for its engineering apprenticeship programme is now open for applications. The Prism Power Group of Companies provides a complete package of power system technologies to a principally blue-chip client base from its extensive technical portfolio of products and services. The new roles will focus on the mechanical and electrical manufacturing of our Low Voltage Switchgear from our factory in Watford and will include college day release from September 2023 (initially two days per week.) Dependent on experience and qualifications you will be enrolled on either a Level 2 or 3 qualification with a local college and your apprenticeship will last up to 4 years. Overall, we encourage a ‘can-do’ attitude and will expect a willingness to learn and develop new skills whilst contributing to the ongoing success of the business. Whilst the role is primarily factory based, where sufficient aptitude is shown experience of working on site and across other disciplines within the business will also be provided. We are keen to hear from dynamic individuals that feel they can make a success of this opportunity.
