Apprentice Engineering Design Technician
Prism Power Group’s 2025 intake for its engineering apprenticeship programme is now open for applications. As a Prism Power Apprentice Engineering Design Technician, you will be placed within our experienced design engineering team where you will work alongside our specialist electrical manufacturing designers. As part of the design team, you will contribute to the preparation of bespoke power solutions and produce designs and drawings for electrical systems to be manufactured by our production engineers. You will learn technical drawings and specifications and be able to create your own based on the unique requirements and specifications of each project. You will develop your skills in identifying factors likely to affect design decisions, produce Computer Aided Design (CAD) engineering drawings and communicate design information to internal and external parties. As part of the production team, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe production of our manufactured products, ensuring they are received by customers on time, on budget, and to their expectations.

Site Engineer
We have an exciting opportunity for a new Site Engineer with previous experience in Low Voltage Switchgear and a strong technical background in power systems to join our growing team. The role will involve aspects such as installation, maintenance, testing and inspection and commissioning of low voltage switchgear up to 6300A 100kVA. Experience in LV switchgear mechanical and electrical engineering is essential, as is the ability to work with initiative and the desire to always meet client requirements with professionalism and the utmost respect.

Factory Engineer
Building on recent success we have several opportunities for Engineers to join our growing production team. The role will be based at our factory in Watford and dependent on experience will cover mechanical fitting and/or electrical manufacture of our Low Voltage Switchgear. Prior experience working with Switchgear is desirable but not essential. We are looking for varied experience levels across a number of vacancies and will be providing ongoing training to support further development.

Stores Operative
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Stores Operative to join our team. You will be responsible for the day to day movements of the manufacturing stock on site for all Electrical and Mechanical Components that are used by both the factory and site teams. A key part of this role will be to maintain the stores in an orderly, safe and well-presented manner. With an ongoing programme of change and improvement within the operations department, this role will be important in both supporting and delivering change on an ongoing basis to improve processes. It is expected that the right candidate will be adaptable and proactive to fulfil the demands of this dynamic role.
